So this is the new host. It took me about an hour to get everything set up, but I can't tell if it works.
So I'm waiting for things to propagate...

Well, after spending about a month trying to get my new host to work with what I had, I gave up. A Paleothic version of mySql and fishy FTP, and really strange NFS mount errors (visible from my site's errors) told me it was time to part with 'em.
So I got another host. Hopefully it will be set up soon. Then I'll three different versions of the same website...
The good news is that they have a "Wordpress" auto install, so it may just be a matter of clicks to get my new sight back up.
Details as they come. Soon. This multi-month downtime really sucks.

Well, a few hundred miles and a few months after my last update, ManicOppressive is slowly returning to normal. And the life that it pseudo represents is acheiving a new level of normality. The site should be totally back up and running within the next few days. Stay tuned! --Dylan

I tried to update the gallery with some new pics, and the dang thing crashed. Existing stuff is still there. Grrr. One thing after another.

Crazy power problem of some kind crashed some of my machines. Incidently, my DHCP address got changed... I updated the DNS record, but I still haven't been able to recover the blog yet. Might take some time, because of my wrists.

Well, I think that I've got the site all nicely wired and whatnot. I expect that there will be a lot more as I have more time to polish things up. For Starters, there is the blog. Wild ramblings by Yours Truly. Secondly, there is the Gallery which contains random images taken by, well, me.
There are still some things that I would like to work out. For example, I have no idea how or why the "Places" box to the right isn't wrapped around the content. I think it should be...
